The problem
High-speed sport exposes weaknesses in load tolerance, single-leg control, landing mechanics, and deceleration — long before raw strength becomes the limiting factor.
Explosive sport demands the ability to absorb force, stabilize on one leg, control landings, reduce momentum, redirect the body, and repeat those actions under speed. Not Another “Bulletproof Knees” Exercise List
Strength matters — but athletic knee performance is not measured by squats alone. Explosive sport demands the ability to absorb force, stabilize on one leg, control landings, reduce momentum, redirect the body, and repeat those actions under speed. The Knee Performance Standard develops those qualities in sequence. No random exercise collection. No automatic calendar progression. No pretending general leg strength equals sport-ready control.
Benchmark & Assessment System
Every phase has a technical and performance benchmark scored against Dark Kinetics assessment criteria — range, tempo, alignment, control, left-to-right consistency, and phase-specific movement quality. Exact passing loads, heights, distances, and symmetry thresholds are defined inside the platform against approved protocols. Fail a benchmark? Remain in the Active Phase, review failure criteria, apply corrections, and retest after the required exposures. The Symptom-Stable Load-Tolerance Standard applies where relevant: stable symptoms, controlled movement, no meaningful worsening during or after training, and readiness for the next loading level. This is training guidance — not medical advice.
The Knee Performance Standard — Performance Standard
Standard achievement requires successful completion of the final assessment across the qualities developed throughout the system: • Controlled bilateral loading • Stable single-leg strength • Landing control • Deceleration quality • Change-of-direction control • Reactive movement quality • Left-to-right consistency • Successful sport-integration assessment The athlete does not achieve the standard because Phase 7 appeared on the calendar. Standard achievement is earned by passing the final performance standard.
Dark Kinetics Elite Knee Standard
The highest optional elite benchmark in the system — not Phase 8, not required for Gate standard achievement, available only after The Knee Performance Standard has been passed. It may assess exceptional unilateral strength, reactive landing control, high-speed deceleration, repeated change-of-direction quality, left-to-right consistency, and sport-specific force absorption and production. Approved benchmark values are defined inside the platform after standard achievement.
