Musashi finished the five scrolls at Reigandō in 1645 and died within weeks. Earth before Water before Fire — position owned before load is added. Modern training inverts it: volume first, position never, and the tendons pay.

1645. Reigandō. Musashi sets down the brush on the fifth scroll and is dead within weeks.
He hands the scrolls to a student. The school he founded nearly dies with him; the school he attacked becomes the shōgun's.
The text survives anyway — copied, translated late, and read for three centuries by people looking for something else in it.
What was in it was an order. Earth before Water before Fire. That is what is restored here.
