The power model

Power is not one quality.

Starting power

Force expressed from a static or fixed start without a meaningful countermovement contribution.

Maximal strength

The maximum force an athlete can produce.

Rate of force development

How rapidly force can be produced.

Ballistic power

Force expressed through movements in which the athlete accelerates through the action.

Reactive strength

The ability to absorb and redirect force rapidly.

Movement speed

How rapidly the athlete or body segment moves.

Repeat power

The ability to reproduce explosive output across repeated efforts.

An athlete may be strong but slow, fast but force-deficient, powerful from a countermovement but weak from a static start, reactive but unable to repeat output, or explosive in the gym without sport transfer.

GATE 5 EXPRESS FORCE IS NOT GATE 2 CONDITIONING.

Gate 5 develops explosive expression — force produced rapidly in the directions and timeframes sport demands. Gate 2 develops the Athletic Engine — the capacity to repeat work and recover across efforts. An athlete can look “explosive” once and still fail when repeat output or engine support is the true limiter.

Do not compress these qualities into one readiness number. There is no single fake power score. No proprietary thresholds are published here.

Will these five Reel exercises fix my power?

Do I get proprietary cut-scores in the free playbook?
